ABOUT THE ROLE

Project focused and based on site in Eastleigh, Hampshire, our Assistant Design Manager will be valuable part of our business, driving quality outcomes, enhancing buildability and fostering innovation. Assistant Design Managers work collaboratively with our project teams, in house experts and industry specialists to ensure that the design develops in accordance with the brief with a firm focus on added value, compliance, commercial viability, and best practice.

As an Assistant Design Manager you will:

  • Work as part of a project team, taking direction from the design lead, and support other functions,
  • Collaborate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to produce and manage a realistic design programme and information requirements schedule that supports design, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Support the delivery of Continuous Improvement initiatives and drive innovation and sustainability across projects.
  • Ensure designs are robustly reviewed and verified to achieve compliance and mitigate Health & Safety, design, and buildability risks prior to construction.
  • Identify and manage key risks and opportunities at each stage of the design and delivery process.
  • Promote quality, coordination, and buildability from concept through to delivery.
  • Management and Coordination of RFi's from the on site supply chain and specialist designers with the consultant and client team.
  • Management of design workflows within the CDE platform
  • Record Keeping from design meetings and workshops
  • Gathering of product performance data and maintaining the Golden Thread.
  • Assessment of contract issued information
