Assistant Framework Manager – Public Sector

12‑Month Fixed Term Contract

Wates Group is seeking an Assistant Framework Manager to join our Public Sector team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This role supports the effective management of major public sector frameworks, helping to ensure strong governance, clear performance reporting and successful bid and re‑bid activity.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with transferable experience from public sector, bidding, performance, PMO, governance or commercial support roles, looking to apply their skills in a high‑profile environment.

What you'll do

• Produce and maintain framework performance reports and dashboards, turning data into clear insight.
• Support framework governance, assurance activity and delivery of agreed commitments.
• Assist with framework bids, pre‑qualifications and re‑bids, including research and coordination.
• Help maintain positive relationships with clients, framework teams and internal stakeholders.
• Support pipeline, opportunity and financial reporting, using Salesforce CRM.
• Contribute to presentations, briefings and wider public sector communications.

What we're looking for

• Experience in a public sector or regulated environment, or strong transferable skills from a related role.
• Confidence working with data, reporting and performance information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good IT capability, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• A collaborative, organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Degree‑level qualification or equivalent vocational experience (or demonstrable equivalent experience).

Security clearance: This role requires the successful candidate to be eligible for SC level clearance.
