Wates Group are looking for an Assistant Land & Planning Manager to join our Land & Development team in Bristol.

The role of Assistant Land & Planning Manager will support the portfolio team in the allocation and planning consent of land adding value to the company's existing land/property portfolio.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Assistant Land & Planning Manager you will:

  • Support, manage and implement strategies to safeguard the interests of the company to ensure deliverability and contractual compliance.
  • Promote sites within the portfolio through the Local Plan process to achieve an allocation.
  • Support the preparation of planning applications and deliver planning consent in line with agreed strategies.
  • Undertake financial assessments to inform site viability and business reporting.
  • Keep your line manager regularly updated on progress, budget movements highlighting risks to the business.
  • Act with an integral approach to localism and public engagement in the promotion of land.
  • Represent Wates Developments within integrity both internally and externally when promoting land or securing planning consents.

ABOUT YOU

  • Knowledge of the UK residential planning system.
  • Knowledge of residential development market.
  • Knowledge of residential appraisal systems.
  • Basic knowledge of legal contracts.
