The Opportunity

We're looking for an Assistant Proposals Manager to join our growing Proposals team in Milton Keynes. This role is ideal for someone with experience in bids, proposals or work-winning who is ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

You'll work closely with senior colleagues to help produce compelling, high-quality proposals that showcase Wates' strengths and values.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the management of bids and proposals from start to finish
  • Assisting with planning proposal activity, coordinating inputs and managing deadlines
  • Helping to develop clear, client-focused written content that is engaging and compliant
  • Working collaboratively with teams across pre-construction, commercial, design and delivery
  • Ensuring proposals are well structured, accurate and professionally presented
  • Capturing feedback and lessons learned to help continuously improve our submissions

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a proposals, bids, marketing or work-winning role (construction or the built environment preferred)
  • Strong written communication skills with great attention to detail
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • A positive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn
  • Confidence working with a range of stakeholders and deadlines
