🌟 The Role
We are seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Winchester. Supporting the Site and Project Surveyors, you will play an important role in delivering key commercial activities across the project lifecycle, from pre-contract planning through to final account.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive environment while gaining exposure to a range of refurbishment projects.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Assist with site measurements, take-offs, and cost control activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date commercial records, including:
- Materials and plant costs
- Variations and day works
- Drawing and specification changes
- Support the preparation of monthly CVRs and commercial reports
- Review and contribute to health & safety processes on site
- Assist in subcontract procurement and commercial management
- Build strong working relationships with site teams, supply chain, and stakeholders
- Develop an understanding of commercial processes to help maximise project performance
🎓 About You
Qualifications & Knowledge
- NHF Schedule of Rates experience is desirable.
- Working towards or recently completed a relevant degree (Quantity Surveying or similar)
- Understanding of construction methods, cost control, and valuation
- Basic knowledge of contracts and commercial practices
