Overview
WPS are looking for an experienced Document Controller to join our Retrofit team in Dartford, working on-site with our office based at DA1 2EU.
We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in planned maintenance, responsive maintenance, social housing refurbishment or construction, where strong document control and compliance processes are essential to project delivery.
Key Points About the Role
- Managing and maintaining project documentation across live retrofit programmes within occupied social housing.
- Site-based position supporting operational, commercial and delivery teams.
- Ensuring project records, certifications and compliance documents are accurately controlled and stored.
- Coordinating documentation between subcontractors, site teams and client stakeholders.
- Supporting the delivery of long-term retrofit programmes within a growing division.
Key Duties
Responsibilities include:
- Managing project documentation, drawings, compliance records and certifications.
- Maintaining document control systems and ensuring information is easily accessible.
- Reviewing and tracking subcontractor documentation, including RAMS, insurance certificates and accreditations.
- Managing retrofit, quality and compliance records in line with contractual requirements.
- Controlling document revisions and distributing the latest approved information to project teams.
- Assisting with client reporting, handover packs and project completion documentation.
- Coordinating information between site teams, project managers, commercial teams and client representatives.
- Maintaining accurate audit trails and supporting compliance requirements.
- Supporting project mobilisation, programme delivery and project close-out activities..
Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Document Controller within construction, social housing, planned maintenance, responsive maintenance or refurbishment environments.
- Experience managing large volumes of project documentation across multiple workstreams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence
