Hours: Full Time, Permanent

The Vacancy

WPS is looking to recruit an experienced and customer-focused Fabric Technician to join our facilities management team supporting our prestigious JLL contract across London.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Fabric Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance services within a fast-paced commercial environment. You'll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance works, ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant, and operating efficiently for our client.

Working as part of a collaborative FM team, you'll provide a professional service while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and customer care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs.
  • Complete a wide range of building fabric tasks including:
    • Carpentry and joinery repairs
    • Painting and decorating
    • Basic plastering and patch repairs
    • Ceiling and partition repairs
    • Flooring maintenance and repairs
    • Door, lock, and ironmongery maintenance
    • General building upkeep and minor refurbishment works
  • Inspect building fabric and identify defects or potential issues.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed works using mobile technology and CAFM systems.
  • Support the wider FM team where required and assist in maintaining a first-class customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and site-specific requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Fabric Technician, Building Maintenance, Handyperson, or Multi-Skilled Maintenance role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial building fabric maintenance.
  • Experience carrying out a range of carpentry, decorating, and general repair works.
  • Ability to diagnose issues and deliver practical solutions.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Health & Safety awareness within a facilities management environment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (desirable).
