🔧 Floor Layer / Carpenter Multi-Trader
📍 Location: Lambeth, London
🏡 About the Role
We're on the lookout for a skilled Floor Layer / Carpenter Multi-Trader to join our responsive repairs & maintenance team working across social housing properties.
This is a hands-on role for a multi-talented tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality work with a strong “first-time fix” ✅ approach.
You'll be working in both occupied homes 🏠 and void properties, ensuring each property is safe, functional, and finished to a high standard – all while delivering excellent customer service 🌟.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
🪵 Flooring
- Prepare subfloors (cleaning, screeding, self-levelling, damp protection)
- Install vinyl, carpet & safety flooring (including hot-weld finishes 🔥)
- Lay timber, laminate & engineered flooring
🚪 Carpentry & Joinery
- Carry out 1st & 2nd fix carpentry
- Hang internal & external doors
- Install skirting boards & architraves
- Fit kitchens, worktops & bathroom units
- Adjust fixtures to suit new flooring levels
🔨 Multi-Trade Works
- Complete basic plumbing 🔧 & prep work for tiling
- Carry out finishing touches (thresholds, trims, final carpentry)
- Deliver jobs to a high standard in one visit where possible ✅
👀 What We're Looking For
- 🎓 NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Flooring, Carpentry, or relevant trade
- 🧰 Proven experience in a multi-trade role (housing maintenance preferred)
- 💪 Ability to work independently & manage workload effectively
- 💬 Strong customer service & communication skills
- 🚗 Full UK Driving Licence
- 🔧 Own tools required
