  Wates Property Services (WPS) are looking for a skilled and experienced Gas Engineer to join our team in Barnsley.

   

  In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality gas servicing, maintenance, and repairs within residential and/or commercial properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards

  .

  🔧 What You'll Be Doing

   

  • 🔥 Servicing, maintaining, and repairing domestic gas appliances and systems
  • 🔍 Diagnosing faults and carrying out efficient repairs
  • 📋 Completing safety checks and ensuring full compliance with regulations
  • 🧰 Working on boilers, heating systems, and associated controls
  • 📞 Providing excellent customer service during property visits
  • ✅ Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
  • 📝 Accurately completing job reports and documentation

   

  🎯 What We're Looking For

   

  ✅ Essential:

   

  • Valid Gas Safe Registration
  • ACS qualifications (e.g. CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1)
  • Experience in servicing and repairing gas systems
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

   

  💡 Desirable:

   

  • Experience in social housing or property maintenance
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations within property services
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment
