Electrical Mobile Engineer

Location: Stoke-on-Trent & Midlands Region (Mobile Role)

The Vacancy

WPS is looking for an experienced Electrical Mobile Engineer to join our growing Facilities Management team, supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial and corporate properties across Stoke-on-Trent and the wider Midlands region.

As part of our Mobile Engineering team, you'll play a key role in delivering planned and reactive maintenance services, ensuring our clients' buildings remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical engineer who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across our FM contracts.
  • Carry out fault finding, testing, inspection, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Support the maintenance of building services including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, and associated plant.
  • Undertake minor installation works and electrical upgrades where required.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations, company procedures, and client requirements.
  • Accurately complete job reports, compliance documentation, and service records using mobile technology.
  • Support wider building services activities and collaborate with multi-skilled engineering colleagues.
  • Participate in the on-call rota when required.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified electrician with City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in Electrical Installation/Maintenance.
  • 18th Edition (BS7671) certification.
  • Experience working within Facilities Management, Building Services, or a maintenance environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance and safe systems of work.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism.
