Mobile Supervisor – Facilities Management
Location: Manchester (Regional mobile role)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
About the Role
WPS are recruiting a Mobile Supervisor to support our Facilities Management operation on the JLL contract in the Manchester region. This is a key leadership role, supervising a ring‑fenced team of mobile and resident engineers, ensuring contractual compliance, high service delivery standards, and excellent customer satisfaction.
You will provide hands‑on supervision, performance management, and technical support while acting as a primary point of contact between WPS engineers and JLL's FM and CM teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a regional team of Resident and Mobile Engineers
- Ensure all PPM and reactive works are completed within SLA and KPI targets
- Liaise daily with JLL FM's/CM's to ensure service delivery and compliance
- Schedule works effectively in collaboration with planners to maximise first‑time fix
- Carry out pre‑ and post‑inspection checks in line with Wates Professional Standards
- Undertake regular quality audits across planned, reactive, and quoted works
- Support engineer development through inductions, competency checks, and 1‑2‑1s
- Deliver toolbox talks and team meetings with a focus on H&S and wellbeing
- Review timesheets, overtime exceptions, and productivity
- Assist with complaints, queries, and performance reporting
- Contribute hands‑on support where required to maintain service continuity
- Champion sustainability, energy efficiency, and site‑specific improvement initiatives
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all engineers and subcontractors are fully trained and competent
- Maintain rigorous compliance with H&S, SHEQ, Stop/Go, and IMS audits
- Control subcontractor engagement, inductions, and competency checks
- Ensure safe systems of work and protection of all building users

Qualifications (Essential):
- Recognised trade qualification
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Asbestos Duty to Manage
- 18th Edition
Experience & Knowledge:
- Supervisory experience within Facilities Management or Building Services
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance within property management
- Knowledge of sustainable technologies and best‑in‑class solutions
- Commercial awareness of contract costs and efficiencies
Skills & Behaviours:
- Strong leadership and people‑management skills
- Confident communicator with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent organisation, diary management, and prioritisation
- IT‑literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Solutions‑focused with good decision‑making ability
- Supportive, assertive, and able to motivate high‑performing teams
