About the Role

WPS is looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Plumber to join our growing team based out of our South Birmingham office, delivering responsive repairs and maintenance works across occupied social housing properties.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs while providing an exceptional service to residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Complete multi-trade works including basic carpentry, tiling, patch plastering, and decorating where required.
• Diagnose faults and provide effective first-time fixes.
• Undertake responsive repairs, void property works, and planned maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Provide excellent customer service when working within residents' homes.
• Accurately complete job reports and documentation using handheld technology.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience working as a Plumber within social housing, domestic repairs, or maintenance environments.
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent qualification).
• Proven experience carrying out multi-trade repairs.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

• Experience working in social housing or local authority contracts.
• Knowledge of damp and mould remediation works.
• A knowledge of Awaab's Law and HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) would be beneficial.
• Asbestos awareness certification.
