Night Shift Engineer - Electrical
Wates Property Services (WPS) | Facilities Management Client: Warner Bros. Discovery Shift Pattern: 7:00pm – 7:00am
The Role
WPS is seeking an experienced Night Shift Electrical Engineer to join our Facilities Management team, delivering a first-class maintenance service at the prestigious Warner Bros. Discovery site.
Working as part of a dedicated engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of building services and electrical systems across the site. This is a critical role where you'll provide both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance support during night operations, helping to maintain a safe and productive environment for our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance activities.
- Diagnose and repair faults across a range of electrical systems and building services equipment.
- Complete PPM tasks in accordance with maintenance schedules and compliance requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and fault-finding.
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with statutory regulations and company procedures.
- Accurately complete maintenance records, reports, and documentation through CAFM systems.
- Support emergency response activities and ensure minimal disruption to site operations.
- Liaise with colleagues, subcontractors, and client representatives to deliver excellent service standards.
- Promote and maintain a strong health, safety, and compliance culture at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Recognised Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent).
- Proven experience within Facilities Management, commercial building services, or a similar maintenance environment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, lighting, power, emergency lighting, and associated plant.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions during out-of-hours operations.
- Good IT skills and experience using maintenance management systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable
- Experience working within critical or large-scale commercial environments.
- Multi-skilled capability with a basic understanding of mechanical services.
