We're recruiting for a Project Surveyor to join a leading contractor delivering planned maintenance works for a major housing association in Northampton.
 
Working on an established social housing contract, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of refurbishment and planned works projects, helping to ensure works are delivered efficiently, commercially and in line with contractual requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to join a secure, long-term framework with a strong pipeline of ongoing work.

About the Role

As Project Surveyor, you'll be responsible for the commercial delivery of planned maintenance projects from subcontract procurement through to final account.
 
You'll work closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners, supporting the successful delivery of works while maintaining strong commercial controls and positive working relationships.
 
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership, influence project outcomes and become a key part of a growing commercial team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments.
  • Reviewing and managing variations and final accounts.
  • Supporting cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting.
  • Working closely with operational teams throughout project delivery.
  • Building strong working relationships with clients and supply chain partners.
  • Providing commercial support and guidance across the contract.
  • Ensuring commercial processes and contractual obligations are managed effectively.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Surveyor.
  • Background in social housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment or property services.
  • Good understanding of JCT contracts.
  • Experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and variations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients, operational teams and subcontractors.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Desirable

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience working on social housing planned maintenance frameworks.
  • Experience delivering refurbishment programmes within occupied properties.
  • Stable career history within planned works, maintenance or property services environments.
