We're recruiting for a Project Surveyor to join a leading contractor delivering a long-term planned maintenance programme for a major housing association in the West Midlands.
 
This is a secure, mature contract with a strong pipeline of ongoing work and future opportunities.
 
Projects are located approximately within a 15 mile radius of our Walsall office

About The Role

As Project Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing the commercial delivery of planned maintenance works from subcontract procurement through to final account. You'll work closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, commercially and in line with contractual requirements.
 
This role is ideal for an experienced Surveyor who enjoys building strong working relationships, influencing project outcomes and taking ownership of commercial performance across a live social housing contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment works.
  • Administer subcontractor packages, valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Support project teams with commercial advice throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, operational teams and supply chain partners.
  • Monitor commercial performance and identify opportunities to improve project outcomes.
  • Ensure contractual obligations and commercial procedures are managed effectively.

Essential

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Surveyor within social housing planned maintenance, refurbishment or property services.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial management.
  • Experience managing subcontractor accounts, variations and valuations.
  • Knowledge of JCT contracts.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with both clients and supply chain partners.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience delivering kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes.
  • Previous experience working on long-term social housing frameworks.
  • Experience within occupied residential environments.
  • Senior Surveyor level experience within planned maintenance contracts.
