We're excited to be recruiting for a Project Surveyor to support the delivery of a brand-new social housing contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join at mobilisation stage and play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality planned works programmes.

Working across a range of planned maintenance and capital works projects, you'll take ownership from inception through to completion—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Planned works may include kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, windows, external decorations and wider improvement programmes


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage planned works projects from feasibility through to completion 
  • Conduct property surveys and inspections to assess condition and scope of works
  • Prepare specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation
  • Procure and manage contractors, ensuring quality, performance and compliance
  • Monitor programme delivery, budgets and KPIs, ensuring value for money 
  • Carry out site inspections and post-inspections to ensure works meet required standards
  • Ensure all works comply with health & safety, CDM and building regulations
  • Liaise with residents and stakeholders, delivering a strong customer-focused service

About You

We're looking for a driven and commercially aware surveyor who thrives in a fast-paced delivery environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience as a Project Surveyor / Planned Works Surveyor within social housing or a similar sector
  • Proven experience delivering planned maintenance or capital works programmes
  • Strong knowledge of housing regulations, compliance and H&S requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience producing specifications, managing contractors and overseeing delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree in Construction or Surveying desirable)
  • Membership or working towards RICS/CIOB (desirable)
