Are you an experienced Quality Manager or perhaps a Site Manager or Site Engineer who enjoys getting things right first time? Do you take pride in quality workmanship, strong processes and delivering projects to the highest standards?
We're looking for a Regional Quality Manager to support projects across the East Midlands, Yorkshire and North East. This is an exciting opportunity to use your construction delivery experience in a different way, helping project teams achieve excellence in quality management from pre-construction through to handover.
Rather than managing a single project, you'll work across a portfolio of projects, partnering with site teams to embed best practice, improve quality performance and ensure lessons learned are shared across the region. If you've built your career in project delivery and are looking for a role where you can influence multiple projects while remaining close to construction operations, this could be the perfect next step.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work closely with project teams to support the planning, implementation and continual improvement of quality management processes across the region.
You'll provide guidance and coaching to operational teams, helping ensure quality standards are understood, embedded and consistently achieved throughout the project lifecycle. You will also support inspections, audits, quality reviews and assurance activities, identifying opportunities for improvement and sharing best practice between projects.
Working alongside operational, design and commercial colleagues, you'll help drive a proactive quality culture, promoting early identification of issues and supporting project teams in delivering right-first-time outcomes.
A key part of the role will be building strong relationships with site teams, helping colleagues understand that quality is not simply about compliance, but about delivering the best possible outcome for clients, end users and communities.
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates with a background in site management or engineering who are looking to develop their career in a quality-focused leadership role.
You'll bring:
- Experience delivering medium to large construction projects in a Site Manager, Senior Site Manager, Site Engineer or similar role
- A strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, inspection and quality requirements
- A passion for driving high standards and continuous improvement
- The ability to influence and coach project teams at all levels
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative approach and a desire to share knowledge and best practice
Why Join Wates?
- Influence quality outcomes across a diverse portfolio of projects
- Use your construction delivery experience to shape best practice across the region
- Work closely with experienced operational and leadership teams
- Enjoy variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a visible impact
- Benefit from excellent learning, development and career progression opportunities
- Competitive salary and benefits package, with flexibility where possible
This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who has built a successful career in site delivery and is looking to take their experience in a new direction, helping multiple teams deliver exceptional quality across a broad regional portfolio.
