Section manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Section Manager to join our Responsive Maintenance team, delivering repairs and maintenance services to our social housing partner across the Barnsley area. This is a key leadership role where you will manage a team of operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard while keeping customer satisfaction at the heart of everything you do. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage a team of operatives delivering responsive repairs and maintenance
• Ensure works are completed within KPI targets,timescalesand quality standards 
• Carry out pre- and post-inspections andprovidetechnical guidance 
• Plan andprogrammeworks to maximise productivity and efficiency 
• Support resolution of complex repairs and escalations
• Build strong relationships with client representatives and residents
• Ensure adherence to health & safety and company standards
• Provide coaching,supportand development to the team 
• Monitorperformance and drive continuous improvement 

What We're Looking For 

Essential: 

• Experience in a supervisory or management role within repairs & maintenance
• Background in social housing or property maintenance
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Full UK drivinglicence
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification

 
Desirable: 

• Trade background (e.g.carpentry, plumbing, multi-trade)
• Experience working on responsive repairs contracts
• Knowledge of KPIs and service delivery standards
