We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and driven Section Manager (Assistant Site Manager) to join our growing Social Housing Retrofit and Planned Works team across Kent.

Working on a large-scale programme of energy efficiency and property improvement works, you'll support the successful delivery of refurbishment and retrofit projects within occupied social housing properties. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor, Foreperson or Assistant Site Manager looking to further develop their career within a leading organisation.

You'll work closely with the Site Manager and Project Team to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of site operations.
  • Supervise subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements.
  • Carry out quality inspections and support defect management processes.
  • Assist with health and safety compliance, including RAMS, site inspections and toolbox talks.
  • Coordinate labour, plant and materials to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports and compliance documentation.
  • Support resident-focused delivery, working alongside Resident Liaison Officers and client representatives.
  • Attend progress meetings and provide updates on project performance.
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with company procedures, client requirements and relevant legislation.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality social housing projects and has a proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership.

Essential

  • Experience working as an Assistant Site Manager, Section Manager, Supervisor or Foreperson within construction.
  • Experience delivering social housing planned works, refurbishment or retrofit projects.
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation and site compliance requirements.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and workstreams.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
  • CSCS Card.

Desirable

  • Experience delivering PAS 2030/2035 retrofit programmes.
  • Knowledge of EWI, insulation, window replacement, roofing or decarbonisation measures.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Experience working within occupied properties.
  • Social housing client experience.
