Section Manager

Wates Construction is seeking a Section Manager to join our growing team. You'll support a variety of high‑profile commercial fit‑out projects, working at the heart of a business that prides itself on quality delivery, collaboration, and innovation.

Our Section Managers play a crucial role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. You will lead the on‑site execution of interior finishes, coordinating works within your section of the project and ensuring excellence throughout delivery.

What you'll be doing:

As a Section Manager with Wates Construction you will:

• Maintain accurate project records for your area of responsibility, including labour returns, daily diaries, quality inspections, as‑built programmes and weekly project reports.
• Take accountability for planning, managing, and ensuring the safe delivery of works.
• Ensure all activities within your section comply with the Construction Phase Plan, including approved risk assessments and method statements.
• Coordinate multiple trade packages, review design information, and produce progress reports and look‑ahead schedules.
• Ensure works meet high‑end finishing standards and oversee snagging and defect management.
• Use relevant digital tools and technologies to track progress and maintain construction site records.
