As Senior Bid Manager, you'll take responsibility for managing and delivering some of WPS' most significant bid opportunities, ensuring every submission is compliant, compelling and commercially competitive.

Key responsibilities include:

🎯 Leading Strategic Bids

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of complex and high-value tender submissions.
  • Lead bid launches, storyboarding sessions, review meetings and submission activities.
  • Develop winning strategies aligned to client requirements, evaluation criteria and business objectives.
  • Produce compelling, high-scoring written responses and polished submissions.

  • Ensure consistent adherence to WPS bid processes and governance standards.

📈 Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the bid function.
  • Analyse client feedback, sector trends and lessons learned to improve future submissions.
  • Develop best-practice tools, templates, training materials and "gold-standard" bid content.
  • Maintain and enhance bid libraries, knowledge banks and response repositories.

👥 Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and mentoring to Bid Managers and Bid Writers.
  • Support professional development and capability building across the team.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing work-winning culture.
  • Act as a senior ambassador for the bid function both internally and externally.

🤝 Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with operational, commercial and technical stakeholders.
  • Coordinate input from subject matter experts to strengthen bid submissions.
  • Facilitate effective communication across multiple workstreams and teams.
  • Represent the business during client engagement activities where appropriate.

📚 Knowledge & Experience

We're particularly interested in candidates with knowledge of:

  • Social housing, property services or facilities management sectors.
