We are looking for a Site Manager to join our team on the HMP Gartree project, supporting the delivery of a significant construction programme within a live custodial environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile Ministry of Justice project, helping to deliver works safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality. Working closely with the wider project team, subcontractors and client stakeholders, you will be responsible for coordinating site activities and ensuring successful day-to-day delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing day-to-day site operations and coordinating project activities
  • Leading and supervising subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
  • Driving health, safety and environmental performance across the project
  • Monitoring quality standards and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project requirements
  • Coordinating logistics, resources and site activities to maintain programme objectives
  • Identifying and resolving operational issues to minimise disruption and maintain progress
  • Working closely with commercial, design and planning teams to support project delivery
  • Building positive working relationships with client representatives and key stakeholders
  • Supporting project reporting and progress monitoring activities

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry
  • Experience delivering medium to large construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction operations, site management and health & safety requirements
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work activities
  • Ability to work effectively within a live operational or highly regulated environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
  • A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications are desirable
