We're recruiting for a Site Surveyor to join our largest and most established social housing planned works contract based in North Birmingham.

Working as part of a high-performing commercial and operational team, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes across occupied social housing properties.

We're keen to hear from both experienced Site Surveyors and ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyors ready to take the next step in their career. If you have a strong understanding of commercial processes within planned works, social housing, or Tier 1 contracting environments, this could be an excellent opportunity to progress into a broader surveying role within a well-supported team.

About The Role

The role will involve managing subcontractor accounts, carrying out valuations, monitoring costs and supporting commercial reporting across a large-scale social housing contract.

This position offers excellent exposure to a major long-term framework and provides clear development opportunities for individuals looking to advance their surveying career within a leading contractor environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the commercial management of planned maintenance and refurbishment works.
  • Assist with subcontractor procurement, payments and account management.
  • Prepare and submit applications, valuations and cost reports.
  • Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Support change control, variations and final account negotiations.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to monthly commercial reporting.

Essential

  • Experience within social housing planned works, refurbishment, maintenance or construction environments.
  • Previous experience working in a commercial, surveying or quantity surveying capacity.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost control principles.
  • Good analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting tools.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience working on social housing planned maintenance contracts.
  • Tier 1 contractor experience.
