Site Surveyor - Carlise
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Surveyor to join our WPS Planned Works team in Carlise to work on a current SHF Wave 3 Retrofit Scheme in You will play a key role in commercially managing works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to WPS' high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing planned works across social housing contracts focusing on cost control
- Producing and submitting monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and progress reports
- Procurement, managing subcontractors, producing external valuations and cash flows
- Working closely with Commercial Managers on budgets, profit plans and final accounts
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards and Wates processes
- Attending monthly client progress meetings (both in person and on-line)
- Building strong relationships with clients, residents, subcontractors and internal teams
- Supporting continuous improvement and high standards of customer satisfaction
About You
- BSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
- Housing Association / Social Housing experience including SHF retrofitting works highly desirable
- Strong commercial and financial understanding (cost control, valuations, cash flow)
- Experience of managing projects and subcontractors on site
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills and well versed in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Full UK driving licence
