We're looking for a Site Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Devizes, Wiltshire, working on a Ministry of Justice (MoJ) project.

You'll be an integral part of the site-based commercial team, taking responsibility for key work packages and supporting robust commercial management throughout the project lifecycle. It's an opportunity to gain valuable experience on a significant scheme while working alongside an experienced and collaborative project team.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll manage designated work packages from procurement through to final account, working closely with the operational team and supply chain to ensure strong commercial performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing subcontractor procurement, accounts and commercial relationships
  • Preparing valuations, forecasts and cost reports
  • Monitoring project costs and identifying risks and opportunities
  • Managing change and ensuring accurate commercial records are maintained
  • Supporting monthly reporting and financial reviews
  • Working collaboratively with operational, design and planning colleagues
  • Supporting the agreement of subcontractor final accounts
  • Building positive relationships with the client, project stakeholders and supply chain

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Site Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, ideally gained on medium to large building projects.

You'll bring a good understanding of construction contracts, procurement and commercial management, combined with the ability to manage your own packages and priorities.

You'll also have strong communication and organisational skills, commercial awareness and a collaborative approach to working with both site teams and the supply chain.

Previous experience on MoJ, custodial or other secure/public-sector projects would be beneficial but isn't essential.
