At WPS, we're continuing to strengthen our in-house Facilities Management delivery model and are looking for an experienced Gas Supervisor to play a key role in our growing operation supporting our client, JLL.

This newly created position has been established to increase self-delivery across the contract and provides an excellent opportunity for a technically capable Gas professional who is ready to step into a leadership role. You'll combine hands-on technical expertise with quality assurance, compliance monitoring and performance reporting to ensure our engineers consistently deliver a first-class service.

The Role

As Gas Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of gas maintenance activities across the contract, ensuring planned and reactive works are completed safely, compliantly and to the highest standards whilst also helping us recruit and build a high-performing team of engineers.

You will act as the link between engineers, management and the client, driving performance, supporting technical excellence and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily allocation and coordination of engineering workloads.
• Managing and supporting a team of Gas Engineers across multiple sites.
• Conducting quality assurance inspections on completed works.
• Undertaking regular site-based engineer audits to ensure compliance, competency and best practice.
• Monitoring PPM completion, reactive performance and SLA delivery.
• Producing weekly IMS reports and operational performance updates.
• Supporting statutory compliance and health & safety requirements.
• Ensuring all gas works are completed in line with Gas Safe regulations and industry standards.
• Identifying training and development needs within the engineering team.
• Building strong working relationships with both WPS and JLL stakeholders.
• Assisting with technical troubleshooting and providing specialist gas expertise when required.
• Supporting the management of subcontractors where necessary.
• Driving continuous improvement and supporting the growth of self-delivered services.

About You

We're looking for a proactive and organised Supervisor who can lead by example, recruit and inspire a high-performing engineering team.

You will have:

• Previous experience within a Gas Supervisor, Lead Gas Engineer, Senior Gas Engineer or similar role.
• Current ACS Commercial Gas qualifications (CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or equivalent).
• Gas Safe Registered (or previously held Gas Safe registration).
• Strong knowledge of commercial gas plant, boilers, heating systems and associated controls.
• Experience overseeing planned and reactive maintenance within a Facilities Management environment.
• Excellent understanding of compliance, auditing and quality assurance processes.
• Knowledge of gas legislation, safety standards and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience producing operational reports and analysing performance data.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
