WPS have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join our Responsive Maintenance team, supporting a busy social housing contract across the Swadlincote area.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring residents receive a high‑quality, safe and timely repairs service. You'll be responsible for supervising operatives, managing day‑to‑day repairs activity and ensuring works are completed right first time, in line with health & safety and contractual KPIs.
Key responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting a team of reactive maintenance operatives
- Allocating and overseeing daily repairs works, ensuring productivity and quality
- Carrying out pre‑ and post‑inspection visits, providing technical guidance where required
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, compliantly and within agreed timescales
- Managing variations in line with client procedures and company processes
- Working collaboratively with planners, schedulers and client representatives
- Monitoring performance, quality and resident satisfaction
- Promoting best practice, coaching operatives and supporting continuous improvement
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Proven experience working in responsive/reactive maintenance within social housing
- Supervisory experience managing repairs operatives
- A trade background (multi‑trade or core trade)
- SSSTS qualification
- Full UK driving licence
