At Wates Smartspace, we are redefining the built environment through smarter, customer-focused solutions. As part of our continued growth, we're looking for a Supply Chain Manager to strengthen and evolve our supplier partnerships and drive best-in-class supply chain performance.

The Role

This is a key position within the Smartspace team, responsible for developing and managing a high-performing, sustainable and value-driven supply chain.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring we work with the right partners, delivering quality, value, and innovation across our projects—while supporting our wider Growth & Transformation strategy.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and managing a robust, high-quality supply chain aligned to business needs
• Building strong, collaborative relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
• Leading supplier onboarding, performance management, and governance processes
• Driving value through effective procurement and commercial strategies
• Ensuring compliance with company standards, sustainability goals, and industry regulations
• Supporting operational teams in supplier selection, mobilisation, and performance improvement
• Identifying opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and cost optimisation across the supply chain
• Monitoring and reporting on supplier performance, KPIs, and risk

We're seeking someone who is commercially astute, relationship-driven, and passionate about building high-performing supply chains.

You will likely have:

• Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, or commercial roles
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at all levels
• Experience managing subcontractor and supplier performance
• A strategic mindset with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
• Knowledge of contract management and commercial frameworks
