At Wates Group, we’re looking for a talented Bid Writer to join our dynamic team and help us win projects across the UK.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As one of our Bid Writers, you’ll be at the heart of our success, crafting high-quality bids that showcase the very best of what we offer. You’ll work closely with our Bid Managers and project teams to develop submissions that are not only visually appealing but also highlight the unique strengths of our services. Your role is crucial in ensuring bids are delivered on time, on point, and stand out in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all bid deadlines are met—because we know you thrive under pressure!
  • Collaborate with Bid Managers and teams to develop responses that are engaging, concise, and truly highlight the benefits of our offer.
  • Check the quality and consistency of responses, making sure key themes, phrases, and messages are on brand.
  • Take charge of the presentation—your work needs to look as good as it sounds!
  • Create mini Customer Plans that help shape our approach.
  • Build and maintain a library of stock answers to streamline future bids.
  • Regularly meet with Proposals Managers from other offices to ensure we’re always following best practices.
  • Keep communication lines open with relevant Wates teams to ensure access to accurate, up-to-date company information on everything from structure to safety stats.
