Are you ready to lead with purpose and drive transformative success? At Wates, we’re on the lookout for an inspiring Divisional Commercial Manager to join our dynamic Facilities Management (FM) team. This pivotal role will see you steering the commercial function across a portfolio of high-value programmes, ensuring excellence from project inception to delivery.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Regional Commercial Director, you’ll be the cornerstone of our commercial operations, combining strategic oversight with hands-on leadership. Your key responsibilities include:


  • Driving the profitability of projects with annual turnovers of £50m–£100m.
  • Shaping and executing commercial strategies to deliver exceptional results.
  • Leading, inspiring, and developing a high-performing commercial team.
  • Overseeing contract tendering, procurement, and risk management.
  • Championing compliance with Wates’ governance and Health & Safety standards.
  • Providing expert guidance to support business growth, mitigate risks, and ensure sustainable success.

Who You Are

You’re an effective communicator and natural leader with a track record of managing large FM projects across multiple sites. Your ability to inspire teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver profitable outcomes sets you apart.

Your experience is complemented by a strong commitment to developing others, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a passion for making a positive impact.
