The Vacancy
Wates have an opportunity for an experienced Skilled Fabric Technician to join our client, based out of Newbury.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for you to have worked in a similar role as a Skilled Small Works / Fabric Technician -with a good working knowledge of occupational health and safety, statutory regulations, and codes of practice applicable to the maintenance division. You will have worked in a similar role covering 24 hour sites and be familiar with corrective works and emergency lighting lamp changing or worked previously as an electrical mate.
To be successful in the role you will have a sound judgement with excellent people skills, always focusing on achieving high standards and quality assurance.

Some of the other Key Accountabilities as Handyman include:
Ensure that all planned and reactive basic fabric tasks are delivered to agreed timelines and SLA’s / KPI’s, including Tap temperature, and remedial works.
Responsibility for ensuring that all relevant help desk calls (both planned and reactive) are fully completed with sufficient information and are either; signed off or a work order is created within our system and returned for further scheduling.
Oversee associated specialist Sub Contractors working on sites and ensure they fulfil their obligations of their contracts and undertake their work effectively and safely.
Adopt a pro-active approach to engagement with other LBE service providers and vendors, with demonstrable evidence of relationship building and partnering.
