Senior Development Manager

Wates are seeking a Senior Development Manager to join our Residential team to be a key member delivering and executing bid strategies and activities, focusing on joint venture and development agreement opportunities mainly with local authorities and housing associations.If you are passionate about the residential sector and experienced in delivering developments in joint venture partnerships, then we have an opportunity to join our successful and growing team.Our Senior Development Managers in the bid team are a valuable part of our business, being the key lead for our development opportunities, with IP and tactics that will position us as a market-leader to be the partner of choice for our public sector residential partners.As our Senior Development Manager, you will: Take responsibility for the leadership of project bid teams, liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders, coordinating all inputs and ensuring bids are successfully executed. Drive win strategies, commercially and quality-wise. Be confident in chairing meetings with peers and Board, influencing win themes and leading conversations around key decisions. Interface effectively with our Clients and Client Advisors as required intervals ensuring their requirements are clearly understood, reflected and enhanced in our offer. Drive best practice internally, ensuring we are ahead of the competition and setting ourselves up for success. Ensure that all members of the project bid team have a clear understanding of their role and required outputs. Senior Estimator

As part of our growth strategy, we have an opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join our team in London, to effectively utilise skills, experience, and knowledge within a team environment to produce multi-million-pound tenders which will win profitable work and drive the strategy for the Estimating function.We are looking for a qualified Estimator with TFM experience along with design, cost planning and bid management skills. Experience of working with a mix of Public and Private clients ideal, as well as Frameworks.Key Accountabilities include: Full understanding of ITT documents to identify any risks or requirements to be included within our submission Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver a submission following tender settlement Leading on key commercial tender meetings presenting to wider business commercial proposals Engagement with wider business including Operational and Commercial leads to finalise solution Responsibility for determining most competitive cost proposal through labour load, sub-contract quotations and most efficient delivery solution Responsible for populating clients pricing document ready for submission Line management responsibilities of EstimatorTo be successful in the role you will have the ability to understand and use bid tactics and excellent communication skills.
