Are you ready to shape the future of client relationships and strategic growth in a business that’s going places?

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially astute Business Development Executive (BDE) to join our Wates Property Services team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is pivotal in maintaining and expanding our customer base, driving new opportunities, and ensuring a strong, sustainable pipeline of work.

This is more than just a contract – it’s a chance to make a measurable impact, with the support of a high-performing team and the opportunity to grow into a broader role across our businesses.

🔍 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Client Growth & Retention: Maintain and grow existing customer relationships, ensuring tailored solutions that align with both client and business goals.
  • Strategic Development: Support the delivery of our marketing plan and sector strategy, including workshops, reporting, and progress tracking.
  • Pipeline Management: Identify and secure new business opportunities, contributing to tenders, SQs, and promotional activity.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor performance and market trends, feeding insights into strategic planning.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Clients, Client Relationship Directors, Business Development Administrator and business leads to deliver results.

🧠 What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships (3–5 years preferred)

  • A collaborative, customer-centric approach with the ability to juggle multiple priorities

🌱 Why Join Us?

  • Impact: This role is designed to pay for itself – through increased revenue, stronger client relationships, and a more resilient business pipeline.
  • Support: You’ll be backed by a dedicated Business Development Administrator and supported by the Client Relationship Director (during maternity KIT days).
  • Opportunity: Potential to evolve into a cross-business role, supporting succession planning and long-term growth if successful in the role.
