Are you a skilled Mechanical or Electrical Engineer looking for a role where you can make a real impact? We are seeking a Resident Engineer to join our team, working on-site with our prestigious client, JLL.

Your mission: deliver exceptional planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on building plant, equipment, and systems—while responding swiftly to engineering emergencies to keep operations running smoothly.


About the Role

As a Resident Engineer, you’ll be the go-to technical expert on-site. Your responsibilities include:

  • Performing PPM and reactive maintenance to ensure optimal building performance.
  • Responding quickly and effectively to engineering issues and emergencies.
  • Preparing detailed Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks.
  • Supervising subcontractors to maintain high standards of work.
  • Recording all tasks accurately and ensuring weekly client sign-off.
  • Upholding health and safety excellence and compliance with company policies.

This is a primarily single-site role, with occasional work at other locations.


What We’re Looking For

  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering experience in building services or facilities management.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively under pressure.
  • Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
