Mechanical Engineer
Location: Inside the m2
Contract: JLL – Aviva
We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in HVAC systems, ventilation, heating and plumbing. Responsibilities to include but not restricted to carrying out PPM’s on a wide variety of HVAC and mechanical systems, including various plant and equipment., Diagnose faults and resolve reactive jobs in line with necessary SLA’s, Maintain and repair mechanical plant including, Fans, Vents, pressurisation units, pipework, pumps, motors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and service HVAC, ventilation, and heating systems for commercial
- Produce factually correct reports, evidence and job sheets for all mechanical works.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, PPM’s, Reactive, remedial and quoted works.
- Work collaboratively with all other trades and support the team in completing basic PPM’s and maintenance outside of your field when required
- Complete regular site visits and become a point of service for the clients and other trades requiring mechanical support
- Provide technical guidance to project teams and junior engineers.
- Light upskilling and training to help the team improve and start to push self-delivery of all possible tasks on the portfolio
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in HVAC, ventilation, and heating system’s
- Unvented water systems
- Strong understanding of planned preventative maintenance .
- Basic Knowledge of UK building regulations and standards (e.g., CIBSE, BS EN standards).
- Excellent problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Suitable Qualifications
Candidates should ideally possess one or more of the following:
- Unvented water systems
- Time spent mechanical engineer with level 3 NVQ in the relevant qualification.
- Basic electrical skills
- HVAC experience,
- Plumbing experience
- TMV servicing L8 beneficial
