About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to play a key role in delivering large-scale systems implementations, with a particular focus on HRIS, HR, and Payroll systems.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role suited to someone who thrives in structured, Waterfall environments and is confident working on complex, enterprise-level applications. You’ll be responsible for leading business analysis activities end to end, producing high-quality documentation, and supporting major transformation initiatives that have a real impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Documentation

  • Lead requirements elicitation and documentation across large IT programmes
  • Produce clear, detailed, and auditable documentation including business, functional, and non-functional requirements
  • Create process maps, impact assessments, and supporting artefacts throughout the project lifecycle

HRIS, HR & Payroll Systems

  • Work closely with HR and Payroll stakeholders to understand processes, data, and system dependencies
  • Translate HR and Payroll business needs into clear system requirements
  • Support system changes that are compliant, accurate, and fit for purpose

Large-Scale Systems Implementations

  • Support end-to-end delivery of major application implementations
  • Contribute to design, testing, cutover planning, and go-live activities
  • Work collaboratively with IT teams, vendors, and project managers to ensure successful delivery

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels
  • Present complex information clearly and pragmatically
  • Act as a trusted link between business users and technical teams

Waterfall Delivery

  • Operate effectively within a Waterfall methodology
  • Support formal governance, stage gates, and structured delivery phases

What We’re Looking For

5+ years’ experience in an IT Business Analyst role delivering enterprise-level systems
Strong experience with HRIS, HR, and Payroll systems
✔ Proven background working on large, complex applications and major implementations
✔ Solid experience delivering projects using Waterfall methodology
✔ Excellent documentation and requirements management skills
✔ Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management experience
✔ Willingness to travel occasionally to UK sites (e.g. Manchester, Liverpool)

Qualifications

🎓 Recognised Business Analysis Diploma (or equivalent)essential
(Certification-only backgrounds will not be sufficient for this role)
