The Vacancy
WPS are looking for a skilled and reliable Multi‑Skilled Plasterer to join our Responsive Maintenance team, delivering high‑quality repairs and maintenance works to social housing properties across Barnsley and nearby areas. You will play a key role in achieving first‑time fixes, maintaining high workmanship standards, and providing excellent customer service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out plastering works including patch repairs and full‑wall replastering.
- Undertake additional multi‑trade tasks where required, such as minor joinery, tiling, or decorating (in line with responsive maintenance needs).
- Work efficiently to complete all tasks to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
- Use a PDA/handheld device to receive jobs and submit work details.
- Liaise with supervisors and schedulers where follow‑on work is required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with industry and company Health & Safety standards.
- Provide excellent service to residents, colleagues, and client representatives.
Minimum Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Plastering (essential).
- Proven experience working within social housing or a similar maintenance environment.
- Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided).
- Ability to deliver high‑quality workmanship across plastering and other associated trades.
- Strong customer‑service skills and a professional attitude.
