Resident Engineer (Static Site)
Location: Birmingham

Working Pattern

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00am – 5:00pm (including breaks)
  • No shifts
  • No call-out rota

The Role:

WPS are seeking a Resident Engineer to be permanently based at a prestigious static site in central Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias looking for a stable, weekday-only role with no on-call requirements.

You will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring the site remains compliant, safe, and operating efficiently at all times.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical building services
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and compliance standards
  • Monitor plant performance and report faults or risks
  • Complete accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Liaise with the client and subcontractors as required

About You

  • Recognised qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Multi-skilled with a bias in either mechanical or electrical
  • Previous experience in a static or commercial maintenance environment
  • Solid understanding of building services systems
  • Reliable, customer-focused, and able to work independently
