The Vacancy

Supervisor – Facilities Management

(WPS) ¦ Northamptonshire

We are looking for a Supervisor to support the delivery of small works, emergency response and subcontractor management across our FM contracts in Northamptonshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically grounded supervisor with a plumbing or kitchen/bathroom installation background, who has progressed into managing contractors, reactive works and minor projects within a Facilities Management environment.

About the Role

As Supervisor, you will act as a key on‑site point of contact, coordinating sub‑contractors, triaging emergency works and supporting the delivery of minor planned and reactive works.

You’ll work closely with the Contract Manager and wider FM team, ensuring works are delivered safely, correctly and efficiently, while maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders.

This role suits someone who is comfortable being hands‑on when required, but equally confident supervising others and managing multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors on site, ensuring safe, compliant and high‑quality delivery
  • Act as the point of communication and liaison between clients, subcontractors and the WPS team
  • Support and triage emergency and reactive works, prioritising and allocating resources effectively
  • Manage and oversee small project works and minor life‑cycle works
  • Use CAFM / PDA technology to manage jobs, updates and reporting
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with legislation, contractual obligations and Wates standards
  • Monitor health & safety performance, embedding a Zero Harm culture on site
  • Provide clear, professional reporting on works completed and issues identified

About You

  • Background in plumbing, kitchen or bathroom installations, with progression into supervisory or small works roles
  • Experience managing contractors and subcontractors, ideally within an FM environment
  • Confident overseeing minor works such as replacement pumps, AC units, and small mechanical works
  • Familiar with reactive and planned maintenance within Facilities Management
  • Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
  • Health & safety aware with a professional, solutions‑focused approach

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and package
  • Company benefits including pension, wellbeing programmes and annual leave entitlement
  • Travel covered across sites
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities within WPS
  • A supportive, family‑owned business with long‑term career opportunities
