The Vacancy

WPS are currently recruiting for an experienced Scheduler to join our Milton Keynes office, supporting responsive maintenance works within social housing.

This is a busy, fast‑paced role where organisation, clear communication and strong logistics skills are key to ensuring repairs are delivered efficiently and tenants receive an excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and coordinating responsive repair works across social housing properties
  • Allocating jobs to operatives and subcontractors, ensuring best use of resources
  • Managing diaries, appointments and route planning
  • Liaising with tenants, housing officers, operatives and suppliers to confirm access and appointments
  • Monitoring job progress and updating systems accurately
  • Reacting quickly to changes, emergencies and priority repairs
  • Ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met

About You

  • Previous experience in scheduling, planning or logistics is essential
  • Experience within social housing, repairs or maintenance is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Confident communicator with a customer‑focused approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, office‑based environment
  • Good IT skills and experience using scheduling or job management systems
